Started on a kitchen floor. Built for the dogs we love.
A little UK family. One old rescue. And a promise we made him.
Hi. We're Emma and James, and Buddies is ours.
We live in a little village in the English countryside with our two dogs, and we run this whole thing from the kitchen table.
Buddies didn't really start with a business plan. It started with our old boy Bruno.
We got Bruno as an 8 week old rescue. All ears. All trouble. All heart. He was our shadow for twelve years. He was there when we bought our first flat, when we lost family, and when we said our vows in the garden (of course he was).
Then he turned thirteen.
It happened slowly. Slower mornings. Stiff back legs after a walk. He'd stand at the sofa he'd owned for a decade and just look at it. Some nights he couldn't get comfortable. Some mornings he couldn't stand on his own.
We tried everything.
Vet visits. Supplements. Ramps that didn't fit him. Harnesses that rubbed him raw. "Senior" beds that were cheap foam and clever marketing. Nothing out there was actually built for a dog like Bruno. Nothing was built with any love in it.
So we started making things ourselves.
We spoke to vets. We spoke to canine physios. We spoke to other dog owners going through the same quiet heartbreak we were. We tested, we binned, we tested again. Slowly, on that kitchen floor at 3am, Buddies became real.

our mission
Every dog. Their best life. For as long as possible.
We build for the dogs who need us most. The ones getting older. The ones getting slower. The ones living with something that makes life a little bit harder than it should be. Everything we make sits in one of four places, and each one has to earn it.
